Art-themed tours in Amsterdam

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

1. What’s the cancellation policy?

Cancellations made up to one week (7 days) before the scheduled tour date are eligible for a full refund.

Exceptions are guided tours of museums with more than four adult participants, if the tickets were included in the price of the tour. In that case there will be a full refund minus the cost of the tickets.

For cancellations eligible for a refund, the amount will be credited back to the original payment method within 3 business days.

Cancellations made less than a week in advance, as well as no-shows are not eligible for a refund.

2. Can I change the time and/or date of the tour?

Depending on availability we are happy to change the time and/or date of the booking, provided you make your request up to one week in advance of the tour.

3. Accessibility

Wheelchair users can participate in all walking and museum tours. If you don’t have a wheelchair of our own, but would like to use one in the Rijks- or Van Gogh Museum, please let us know. We’ll be happy to reserve one for you.

4. Is the bike tour suitable for me?

Traffic in Amsterdam can be a challenge, even for experienced cyclists. Therefore, the itineraries of Artsy Tours’ bike tours - for the most part - take place in low-traffic parts of town. Even so, we do not recommend the bike tours for individuals who are not used to riding in a urban environment.

The street art bike tour is about 19 km / 12 mi.

The Picturesque Bike Tour is about 22 km / 14 mi.

5. Are the tours suitable for children?

Our guided tours are mostly aimed at adults, but you are welcome to bring your children along.

Here are some considerations on individual tours that should help you make the best choice for you and your family:

  • The itinerary of the Rijksmuseum tour can be adjusted to make it interesting for children as well as adults.
  • Due to the adult subject matter, the Van Gogh Museum is not suitable for children.
  • Safety is a concern when going on a bike tour. We do not recommend these tours for young children, or for anyone - regardless of age - if they are not used to riding in an urban environment.
  • In our experience, older teenagers have the most fun on our street art tours.
